What I learned from the Experiment
What had seemed a rather simple procedure during discussion turned out to be a real hassle. The difficulties involved in eliminating biases, collecting enough data to make the results significant... If a simple experiment like the book-dropping was this hard, it's a wonder complicated experiments ever produce conclusive data.Finding subjects in the first place was hard enough - we had to traipse around the whole school ooking for them - not to mention trying to make sure the subjects would notice the books and all variables controlled. It is very frustrating when every circumstance and each subjects varies so much. I can appreciate how difficult conducting experiments in psychology can be, now. Quantifying or assessing the responses from the subjects was similarly challenging. I've learned how difficult it is to come up with a conclusive and relevant result in psychological experiments, and I think I've developed new respect for those psychologists who came up with the theories we will study, erroneous as they turned out to be.

Sunny Glad to hear that you have learnt so much but I hope it has not put you off conducting experiments in the future. Yes people can be a real pain when you want to experiment on them but the results can be quite surprising.
